I love the way her upturned face works visually with the crossed pistols. Excellent posing and composition there, and with the piece in general. It seems to reflect the quote well, though I'm not sure what it is that makes me feel that way. I think it might be the sort of way that she is holding the pistols, as if she is warding something off, but her facial expression is still rather hopeful, or at least at peace. Very intriguing.
