The dissolution of the KombatCorp Network saw the pilotstars ousted into unemployment. A few contracted with the Kombine or White Star Federation, but most of the former circuit stars could not conform to the regimented lifestyle of the military, even in specialized units. Some accepted their fall from stardom, others, still addicted on the juice of combat, drifted into the many mercenary groups that flourished during the Pacification. The attrition among these warriors was high as they learned the hard way the difference between regulated combats and war.
Wild Cards even by mercenary standards, those that adapted became known as Boomchicks or Gunboys, known for their high profile colours schemes, insane tactics and fearsom ruthlessness. The apperance of a Boomchick can change the course of a campaign, as their magnetic personalities somehow turns any battle into a personal thing.
So they become the stars of war.

Great hues and tones! All the dust and the grwoth down the bottom contrasted with the Dark boarder and bright background give a great sense of depth.

Thanks, amigo. I should probably have desaturated the BG green a bit, but I wanted to have that intense supersaturated feel I ended up with. Ah well, that is my muse for you.

Boomchick as per the text, or Bombchick as per the title? I prefer Boomchick myself, but...

Like the vignette, too. May steal the basic idea for a City Of... character :D
